Note: Your lab environment and applications are customized for your course. This feature may not be available in all lab environments.
Follow the instructions below to download files from lab computers.
Instructions
1. If you have not previously done so, please allocate your lab environment. If you have already allocated your lab environment, then click “Start Nodes” to start your lab environment. Once your lab environment has been started, click the connect button to make a connection to your lab machine.
2. We will need to locate the download folder in the virtual lab machine:
a . In a Windows machine you will be able to find your download folder by opening File Explorer under This PC and accessing the drive labeled “Labs on Guacamole RDP” and locating the download folder.
b. In a Linux machine you will be able to find your uploaded file(s) by opening File Manager and accessing the following drive location:
/home/StudentFirst/thinclient_drives/GUACFS/Download
3. Once you have located and opened the Download folder as described above, all that is needed is to copy and paste the files you are wanting to download inside the “Download” folder. This will automatically begin downloading the files to your local machine. They will be downloaded to your Downloads folder on either a Windows or a MAC, unless you have specifically changed you default download location.
Note: Please note if the file is empty or does not contain any content, it will not be automatically downloaded.
4. Your file has been successfully downloaded to your local machine/PC
